31 Days of Fresno (The Tumblr)
Welcome one and all! My name is Ryne and I have a resolution for the New Year in 2010 and that is to post one thing a day about what I like about my fine little city of Fresno for 31 days straight. This is to help ward off any misconceptions and generalizations that are continually used to pick on us Fresnans.
A little about me: I’m technically not a native of the city. I was born in San Diego as a US Navy child; thus I’ve lived everywhere with San Diego yielding the fewest years I’ve stayed in one area at approximately 2 years. I’ve also lived in Guam (5 years), Adak, Alaska (2-3 years), Bremerton, Washington (3 years), Yokosuka, Japan (4 years), and now this is the longest I’ve ever been grounded in one place at 8 years and counting.
Traveling, I’ve gone to the Philippine Islands, Vancouver, Las Vegas, Memphis, Boise, Bejing, Shanghai, Hiroshima, Tokyo, and practically every city in California and the West Coast.
Of all the places I’ve been and traveled to, there is absolutely nothing wrong with living in Fresno. It ranks pretty high up there with all the other places I’ve lived and especially the ones I’ve just paid visits to.
Come January 1st, 2010, I shall be posting one thing a day on this Tumblr in the form of text entries, photographs, and possibly even sounds!
